Sanitation & Screening Procedures

Updated: Feb 18, 2021

In anticipation of re-opening the office I've updated all our office sanitation procedures. Starting this week Bluestem will be open for both telehealth and limited in-person appointments. To ensure our safety, here are steps we'll all need to follow to comply with CDC guidelines. Only one patient will be seen at a time to allow time to properly clean and disinfect between visits.

Steps for you to take before arriving for your appointment

  • If you have any symptoms, such as a cough or fever, please reschedule.

  • If anyone in your family, or a person you’ve been in contact with, has these symptoms now or in the last 14 days please reschedule

  • Please take your temperature before leaving for your appointment.  I will check your temperature using a no-touch thermometer when you arrive

  • Please arrive on time, not early, to avoid use of the waiting room

  • Please do not bring family or friends with you unless we have made prior arrangements

  • When you arrive please go into the open treatment room and wash your hands with soap and water, then be seated in that room

  • Please wear a mask

Steps taken to prepare the clinic for your safety

  • Touchable items have been removed from the waiting room

  • Chairs are six feet apart

  • Hand sanitizer is accessible to patients

  • Patient visits have been reduced to eliminate overlap and gathering

  • Masks and gloves will be worn by the provider.

  • All surfaces, tables, face cradles, door handles are washed and disinfected between every patient visit.

  • All linens are washed after every patient and tables disinfected

  • Provider will monitor her own temperature throughout the day

  • Intakes have been shortened to reduce face to face time spent with patients.

If you are unable to take the steps requested of you, please simply reschedule your appointment. Please take advantage of telehealth offerings, a way to connect and create an effective treatment while working virtually. I look forward to seeing you soon!
