Peace within yourself creates peace in the world - and in your body
Research shows evidence of the mind-body connection. In Chinese Medicine, there is no distinction between the health of the emotions and the health of the body - for example the same acupuncture point may be used to support a person who is feeling "depressed" emotionally and experiencing "knee pain" that disables them from getting up and taking a walk. One symptom shows up as an emotional imbalance and the other a physical imbalance, yet they both indicate an inability to move forward in life.

Psychiatrists and therapists often refer patients for acupuncture because this system of medicine can profoundly support a person's ability to balance their emotions. For some people, chronic stress or emotional distress can lead to physical symptoms such as high blood pressure, headaches, fatique, infertility, or insomnia. For others, physical challenges, such as chronic pain or rehabilitation after an injury can lead to emotional distress. Acupuncture is uniquely able to treat both levels of disease at once and create lasting
improvement.
