A letter from Marie, mom of Grant 7 years old:
I met Kelly Hora when she was giving a lecture on Acupuncture. My youngest son was suffering from asthma and daily nose bleeds. Traditional medicine had brought him no relief. I needed to find another approach to my son’s health issues. Acupuncture seemed to be an option to consider. But never having experienced acupuncture, I felt that I needed to experience it first hand so that I could understand and prepare my son for a treatment.
In March 2005 after being run down with a major case of flu with little relief from drugs I decided that it was time to make an appointment with Kelly.After my first treatment I was hooked. Kelly has an incredible gift of listening and putting her patients at ease. She is very easy to talk to and truly cares about her patients.
The following week I brought my 7 year old son to Kelly. My son, Grant, had suffered from asthma and was using steroids to deal with his occasional flare ups. I was very uncomfortable using the steroids as I was not too sure what the long term effects would be on my son’s health. Grant also suffered from daily nosebleeds. He had had his nose cauterized several times with very short term relief. He was extremely moody and constantly complaining of crampy legs and being tired after 10 hours of sleep.
Grant was very apprehensive at his first visit not knowing what to expect. Kelly made him feel at ease. She explained everything that she was doing even let him hold her tools and feel a needle. By the end of the first visit my normally quiet Grant was laughing and sharing about himself. She had quickly gained his confidence.
Gradually through treatment Grant was no longer having flare ups with his asthma. His nosebleeds rarely occurred and when they did they were very light. Through Kelly’s loving care Grant was able to find relief in his asthma, nosebleeds, crankiness and leg cramps. We are so very grateful for her as a healer and helping us to find a solution to Grant’s health issues.
